What Gather & Roll is
A tool for organising tabletop RPG groups between sessions โ scheduling, feedback, downtime and ideas. It sits beside whatever you use to actually play; it isn't a virtual tabletop and it doesn't provide any game content or rules.
Your account
You need an account to use it, and you're responsible for keeping access to it secure. Give us an email address you can actually receive mail at โ it's how you reset your password and how the app tells you things. One account per person, please.
You must be old enough to agree to these terms in your country.
Your content
What you write stays yours. You give us permission to store and display it to the other people in your campaign so the app can do its job, and nothing beyond that. We don't claim ownership of your campaign, your characters, or anything you type.
Note that content you contribute to a campaign remains with that campaign if you leave โ see the privacy page, which explains why.
Behaving reasonably
Don't use Gather & Roll to:
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone
- post content that's illegal where you or they live
- break into accounts or campaigns that aren't yours
- hammer the service automatically, or try to knock it over
Campaigns are private groups, and the DM decides who is in one. Being removed from a campaign is between you and that DM.
What we don't promise
The service is provided as it is. We'll look after it, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable, never lose data, or never contain bugs. Don't make it the only place a piece of information you care about exists โ and if a session really matters, confirm it with your group as well.
We're not liable for anything that happens at, or doesn't happen at, your table.
Cost
Gather & Roll is free to use right now. If that changes, existing users will be told well in advance and nothing will start charging you without you agreeing to it first.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings โ Profile. We may suspend an account that's breaking the rules above, and we'll tell you why if we do.
Changes to these terms
These will be replaced with a fuller version before the app is offered publicly. Meaningful changes will be announced rather than slipped in quietly.
